Join Josephine & Lea in the community room at the Abundance Coop for an incredible restorative experience designed to help you transition your immune system and your energetic body into the Fall season. Fall is associated with the Metal element in Traditional Chinese Medicine, when our Qi is out of balance during this season, we are prone to colds! Both yin yoga and acupuncture can be used to bring your Qi into balance and boost your immune system!
Yin yoga is a slow and passive practice that uses props to support your body while you hold postures designed to rehydrate the connective tissues, boosting elastin and collagen production in your joints, tendons, ligaments, and skin, for several minutes. The postures planned will target the organs associated with the metal element of Chinese medicine, the lungs, large intestine, nose, and skin.
During a long and restorative deep rest, Lea will apply acupuncture needles, smaller than a piece of hair, into several energetic points designed to boost your immune system and promote healthy structures and boundaries in your energetic system.
Props will be provided; however, you are always welcome to bring your own. No prior yoga experience is needed. Participants will need to sign a waiver upon arrival. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early.
Exchange: $36, drop-ins welcome, pre-registration is appreciated.
