I’m an avid journaler, spiritual student, and the author of the Daily Glimmers Gratitude Journal. Just before COVID started, I started gratitude journaling. Since then, I’ve tried over 10 different gratitude journals, and flourished my self-care practice. My belief has always been that writing down your thoughts can be the purest form of self-expression. When a pen is in your hand, there is no multitasking, there is no doom-scrolling, and there are no distractions. It’s just you, the pen, and the paper. I remember writing letters to my friends and family as a child when it felt like it was the only way I could express myself. As an adult, I still feel that a pen and paper is the best way to process my thoughts and shift my mindset towards positivity.
